Shimano spent two years listening and countless hours speaking with gravel enthusiasts from all over the world. We took to dirt and gravel roads, narrow singletrack paths, creek crossings, and mountain passes to test ourselves and our notions of drop bar cycling. We pinned on race numbers and packed up bikepacking bags. We ate energy bars and mixed recovery drinks. Then we chowed on burgers, and knocked back a few beers. We choked on dust and reveled in mud. And the result of all that riding and all those new friendships? First, Shimano’s Gravel Alliance and now, Shimano GRX, the world’s first dedicated gravel component series.

We aren’t here to dominate the gravel scene or change its direction. We know a good thing when we see it. We don’t want to reinvent the wheel. We love gravel just the way it is. We simply wanted to create a set of components that would allow you and your friends to ride exactly the way you want to ride. GRX does just that.

When setting out to build GRX we knew we wanted options. Single and double chainring drivetrain options. Optional braking positions. Dropper post options. So we created ways to integrate all those options with modern hydraulic disc brakes and mechanical and Di2 electronic drivetrains.

We also wanted to feel confident as we bumped down uneven roads, jumped potholes, and carved corners. So we developed new ergonomics for the Shimano STI levers used in the GRX line. Enhanced lever shapes offer better braking feel and increased leverage. Textured brake lever coatings mean that whatever the weather, you’ll stop with confidence. New hood designs ensure a secure hand position whenever the unexpected arrives.

And finally, we wanted Shimano GRX to perform at the highest levels of gravel racing while still offering options that make it accessible to riders on a budget. In setting these design goals, we also developed components that are great for cyclocross racing, bikepacking, and nearly any bike exploration endeavor. Simply put, Shimano GRX represents the world’s finest way to go out and Explore Beyond.

Shimano GRX ST-RX810 Shifter lever
Shimano GRX BR-RX810 Brake
Shimano GRX FC-RX810 Crankset 170mm -40T
Shimano GRX RD-RX812 Rear Derailleur
Shimano GRX CS-M8000 Cassette 11-42T
Shimano GRX HG701-11 chain
Shimano GRX BB-BBR60 BSA Bottom bracket

Read the reviews!

Gravelcyclist
Cyclingweekly
CXMagzine
FeedTheHabit

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0431/4228/3416/collections/Shimano_logo_400x300_cbbb46d8-49dd-42b7-b966-5d066213bd5b.png?v=1606230189
